It's the end of the Second World War and despite gas-rationing life is good. Brazil is blossoming. There are jobs, there is food; it is a new world full of new possibilities.

This is the story of a young man who, like Brazil , is awakening to these new possibilities. When his father discovers he has fallen in love with his stepmother, our hero, Miguel, sets out on the road to discovery. He meets up with a traveling salesman, the Comet, who shows him the ways of the world.

Through a series of adventures, some comic, some tragic, and some full of sexual discovery, Miguel learns what it means to be a man.

Based on The Cedar Idol by Dirceu Borges, this mini-series stars Carlos Augusto Strazzer ( O Astro ), Lucia Veríssimo ( Esperança / Tieta do Agreste ), Othon Bastos ( Por Amor ), Elisabeth Hartman (Quando Só o Coração Vê) and Luís Carlos Tourinho (Suave Veneno), among others.
